A collaboration between Salvador Dali and Walt Disney sounds too good to be true, and yet…Destino.  In 1945, Dali and Disney began work on a short film about the love that Chronos, the personification of time, feels for a mortal.  Dali described it as “a magical display of the problem of life in the labyrinth of time,” while Disney called it “a simple story about a young girl in search of true love.”  The pair got as far as storyboarding before the project was terminated.  In 1999, Roy Disney unearthed Destino and determined that it should be completed.  And so it was, finally, in 2003.
